Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers | COVID-19 Updates

Date: April 7, 2020

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has spread rapidly across the globe and presents a unique public health challenge. Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers would like to assure you that we will continue to monitor the situation and our focus remains on the health of our patients, employees and partners. Currently, our offices will remain open with regular business hours until further notice. We have enhanced our services to offer Telehealth. Our staff will work with you to schedule office and Telehealth visits. If you must visit the office, prior to your appointment, please login to your patient portal and print a copy of your appointment in order to show law enforcement personals, if stopped and asked.

Due to our commitment to employee and patient safety regarding the COVID-19 outbreak; effective immediately, we are implementing new company policies following recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)

All patients will now be required to wear a mask when coming into the office. If a patient has been identified as having COVID-19 symptoms during a phone call or at the front door, patient will be notified that we cannot see him/her and needs to follow up with PCP/Urgent Care. Once symptom free for three consecutive days, patient may call to reschedule and return to clinic. A patient that has received a positive COVID-19 test cannot return to the clinic until they have completed their 14 day quarantine and have had no symptoms for three consecutive days. If a patient has traveled to a highly infected area (including but not limited to Europe, China, or New York) please do not visit the clinic until after 14 days from the day you return home.

We have taken measures to minimize the number of guests in our clinic. New patients are allowed ONE visitor.  Established patients are allowed ONE visitor if they have physical handicaps, patients with mental decline or a patient with cognitive issues.  No other guests will be allowed into the building. Additional caregivers and/or guests are advised to wait outside our office as we continue to practice social distancing.

We understand the difficulty of keeping up with the ever changing environment of today’s world. To help ease uncertainty, we have created a “COVID-19 UPDATES” button located at
