SUMMARY:Young Adult Cancer Support Group (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Join us monthly to create a supportive community for young adults aged 18-35 who have been diagnosed with cancer. This is a space where you can connect with peers who share similar ages and experiences\, fostering friendships and understanding. \nEach session will cover relevant topics\, including fertility\, social media\, school\, work\, and dating\, providing a platform for open discussion and support. We meet online on the 3rd Monday of each month from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. \nTo participate in this group\, please contact socialwork@ironwoodcrc.com. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you find community and support in your journey. \n\nYou don’t have to navigate your cancer journey alone. Research demonstrates that individuals who participate in support groups during their cancer treatment enjoy a wealth of positive benefits. \nAt Ironwood\, we are here for our patients\, offering Support Groups that are welcoming to everyone in the community affected by cancer. Whether you are newly diagnosed\, currently undergoing treatment\, in remission\, or a long-term survivor\, this group is here to offer encouragement\, knowledge\, and a sense of community. \nJoin us on the 4th Tuesday of every month\, in person in Glendale from 5–6pm\, to connect with others who share similar experiences and gain support to face each day with resilience and hope. \n\nYou don’t have to navigate your cancer journey alone. Research shows that individuals who participate in support groups during cancer treatment experience many positive emotional and psychological benefits. \nAt Ironwood\, we are committed to supporting our patients and community by offering Support Groups open to all individuals affected by cancer.
