We created the event because we noticed something was missing in the cancer space. Patients often leave appointments with information\, but still feel alone navigating everything that comes next. Gather and Grow is a place where you can come to learn from experts\, experience wellness activities\, and meet others who understand what you’re going through. \nWho is it for?\n→ Cancer patients at any stage\n→ Survivors navigating life after treatment\n→ Caregivers supporting a loved one\nWhether you’re newly diagnosed or years into survivorship\, this space was created for you. \nWhat can I expect?\n→ Expert-led sessions\n→ Wellness experiences\n→ Conversations with healthcare professionals\n→ Resources from trusted partners\n→ Time to connect with others in the community \nWho will be presenting?\nThe event features an incredible lineup of 25+ healthcare professionals\, wellness experts\, oncologists\, social workers\, registered dietitians\, and patient advocates. You can expect to hear from people like:\n→ Yesenia Vidales Valentine\, former Miss Arizona and breast cancer survivor\, serving as the event emcee\n→ Dr. Heidi Rula\, the Medical Director of Integrative Oncology at Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers\, will discuss the future of holistic recovery.\n→ Jennifer Caraway\, the founder of The Joy Bus Diner will host a live\, interactive cooking class focused on “food as medicine.”\n→ Courtney Fox\, the renowned Valley yoga leader will close the day with a massive Yoga and Meditation ceremony

This class uses sound healing\, an ancient form of energy meditation that incorporates sound frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation and well-being. By helping to rebalance the autonomic nervous system\, this practice can lead to a cascade of beneficial effects\, including stress management\, trauma recovery\, and support in managing some side effects of chemotherapy. \n\nJoin us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 3:30 pm- 4:30pm at our Goodyear location \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou don’t have to navigate your cancer journey alone. Research demonstrates that individuals who participate in support groups during their cancer treatment enjoy a wealth of positive benefits.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Ironwood\, we are here for our patients\, offering Support Groups that are welcoming to everyone in the community affected by cancer.
