Where are you from? 
I am from Houston, Texas.
What do you do when you are not working at Ironwood?
Spend time with my family I also enjoy going to the gym.
What led you to becoming a Medical Assistant?
I love helping people and I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. When my sister was in and out of the hospital they had such an amazing team. Her care team made such an impression on me, even as a child. No matter what people are coming in for they do not feel good; they are hurting and frustrated. Being a happy face or someone that they can depend is something that made me want to be a Medical Assistant.
Have you ever been affected by a cancer diagnosis and if so, how?
My sister had brain cancer, my mother had thyroid cancer, and my Nephew has Erwing Sarcoma. It has tremendously affected my life.
Do you have a special talent?
My special talent is helping people to feel wanted.
What is the best thing about working for Dr. Rula?
Dr. Rula is amazing with her patients no matter what the diagnosis is. She gives all of her patients the same amount of attention. She has been very kind.
What is a piece of health advice that you follow, daily?
Drink water and try not to stress.
What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
Dance in the kitchen and we love movie nights.
