
Dr. Quillan Huang joined Ironwood in 2026, where he specializes in the treatment of lung and head/neck cancers as well as hematologic (blood) disorders. He is board-certified in medical oncology, earning the highest possible score on the ABIM medical oncology board exam. He is also board-certified in hematology and internal medicine.
Dr. Huang obtained his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by medical school at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and his fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. During fellowship. Dr. Huang served as Chief Fellow and was the recipient of a NIH T32 training grant. After completing fellowship training in 2019, Dr. Huang stayed at Baylor as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Hematology/Oncology. At Baylor, Dr. Huang was a dedicated medical educator, serving as Associate Program Director of the Hematology/Oncology fellowship program while being awarded numerous teaching awards. Dr. Huang also has an interest in precision oncology, and served as Chair of the Molecular Tumor Board at Baylor’s Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center during his time there. He was voted by his peers as a Houstonia Top Doctor from 2023-2025.
Dr. Huang believes in individualized and detail-oriented care, and strongly believes in only offering the same treatments that he would offer his own family members.
Outside of work. Dr. Huang enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
