Dr. Pranshu Bansal is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. He attended medical school in New Delhi, India at Safdarjung Hospital which is one of the largest tertiary care centers in Asia. After that he moved to the USA and worked as a bench researcher in oncology, the rapid pace of drug development in oncology made him develop a strong interest in clinical cancer care. To pursue his passion in oncology he underwent further training in Internal medicine at the University of Missouri and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.
He has co-authored more than 20 publications and poster presentations in peer-reviewed journals and national scientific meetings including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Society of Hematology (ASH) over the last few years. He has been a lead investigator in multiple early and late phase clinical trials and helped set up the clinical trial program at New Mexico Cancer Center where he was the director of clinical research prior to moving to Ironwood Cancer Research Centers. His work has helped offer patients in the community novel treatment options and helped advance the field of cancer care.
Dr. Bansal specializes in all forms of cancer and blood disorders. He has a keen interest in genitourinary cancers specifically prostate cancer, he is also an active member of the prostate cancer support groups where has been invited to give talks that have helped raise awareness about new treatment options available to patients with prostate cancer.
Dr. Bansal believes in using the best and most advanced treatment options available tailored to the individual patients and their disease. He strongly values the trust and responsibility patients place in him in helping them through their cancer journey and he treats it as a privilege.
