March 2020 Volunteer of the Month

Our March 2020 Volunteer of the Month is Valorie!

A year ago, Valorie was caring for her husband Christopher as he battled cancer. Now that he’s recovered she’s volunteering at the same Ironwood Cancer & Research Center office that treated her husband. Those around her say that she is bursting with enthusiasm and has old fashioned good manners. Valorie wanted to give back to the community with a cause she believed made a difference. She applied for Ironwood’s volunteer program. She loves helping patients and the staff at the Mesa Arbor location say that she’s helping immensely.

Volunteers are an integral part of our Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers Integrative Services. We use volunteers to assist with patients in the treatment room and our wig boutique. Valorie, our March Volunteer of the Month, is an example of how much one person can make a difference.

If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, please fill out our Online Volunteer Registration Form. For more information on how you can become a volunteer with Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers, please call our Integrative Services Department at 480-314-6660.
